Our lawyer was, though, able to secure an agreement that all three would be held in isolation cells due to the severe risk that our members face in the prison”.
Abahlali baseMjondolo is a democratic organisation, with tens of thousands of members. It is doing vital and courageous work in the interests of social justice. This grassroots movement of poor shack dwellers in South Africa advocates for the rights of people living in shacks including access to decent housing, services and educatios.
