HIC is excited to officially launch this Call for Applications for Facilitators to help lead our upcoming Co-Learning Space on Women’s Housing, Land and Livelihoods in Sub-Saharan Africa. This opportunity is open to HIC Members, partner communities and grassroots movements from the HIC Africa region and the Women’s Spaces project.
This co-learning space scales lessons from four Sub-Saharan African countries under the Women’s Spaces project to deepen knowledge, foster collective resistance, and advance advocacy for gender-just habitat rights. The process is grounded in HIC’s co-learning approach where community-led knowledge is prioritised, and all participants engage as equals to confront systemic injustices directly.
About the Role
We are seeking 4 dedicated co-facilitators drawn from the HIC Africa network and the Women’s Spaces project partner communities and grassroots movements. Working as a collaborative team alongside the HIC General Secretariat and the Africa Regional Coordinator, the facilitators will:
- Co-design the session programs and running sheets across 5 preparation meetings.
- Lead and moderate 4 main online learning sessions (2 hours each).
- Foster popular-education dialogues that centre grassroots knowledge and adaptation.
