Membership Fees
In order to insure transparency and democratic proceedings within the Coalition, all HIC members should pay an annual membership fee.

Organizations, as well as individual friends, should pay an annual fee defined by a sliding scale that is directly related to the applicant's budget or the friend's personal income. The minimum due is 35 US$ or 25 € per year.

The sliding scale in US$ is the following:

  • 35 USD for an annual organizational budget below 39.000 USD;
  • 70 USD for a budget or income from 39.001 to 78.000 USD;
  • 140 USD for a budget or income from 78.001 to 155.000 USD;
  • 280 USD for a budget or income over 155.001 USD

The sliding scale  in € is the following:

  • 25 € for an annual budget (organization) or income (friend) below € 25.000;
  • 50 € for a budget or income from € 25.001 to 50.000;
  • 100 € for a budget or income from € 50.001 to 100.000;
  • 200 € for a budget or income over € 100.001.

As decided in Barcelona Board Meeting 2004

HIC offers two options to make effective membership payment:

1. You may make a money transfer for the corresponding amount in USD or Euros to HIC GS account. If you wish to use this method please contact to the Membership Department will provide you with the specific banking details.

2. If payment of HIC dues through a bank transfer is too costly, you may forward the payment to the Focal Point Coordinator or Network Coordinator nearest to you. They will then forward the information to the General Secretariat (GS) who will provide you with your user ID and password which will allow you access to multiple HIC services. Please see diagram for more comprehensive details.
